Analysis: Fiery Fla. Debate, But Not Enough Blood Drawn to Change Race
October 07, 2010 8:33 AM
I had a great time last night at the Florida Senate debate. All three candidates came out swinging and held their own throughout the hour. It sped by.
All three had variations of the same strategy-- trying to set themselves apart from the others.
To my eyes Marco Rubio helped himself the most because neither Gov. Charlie Crist nor Rep. Kendrick Meek were able to draw enough blood to change the dynamic of the race.
Watch my analysis with Matt Dowd here:

How in the world can a voter make an informed decision when the candidates continue to confuse the voters with so many contradictions when it comes to where they stand on the issues. When will our elected officials realize we the people are wanting people who care about us. Jobs,Education, and housing are the things Americans care about.

With regard to the sect going to funerals of our service men, how is it outing children on web sites will not be tolerated and they can be prosecuted, and these loose cannons can just show up and cause such sorrow for the loved ones who just want to bury their dead.

Rubio is hands-down, by Far -- the most impressive of the three.

I can't figure out what republicans/Marco "Corporate Criminal" Rubio are talking about in regards to the stimulus being the wrong direction.
GDP when Obama took office was -5 percent. It's 1.5 percent now. The stock market was at 7000 and its opening over 10k now. We were losing 700k jobs a month and now we have a net gain. Not nearly what we need but still a gain.
If you want to move forward in a car you put the card in D. If you want to go backwards you put it in R.
Same applies here. We can't go back to the ideas that put our country in the position that it required a stimulus in the first place.

Hey, "Confused": you're more than just confused, you're badly mistaken. You can't compare apples to oranges if you want to understand anything!
Fannie and Freddie: Giving Loans to People Who Couldn't Afford Them, is a big reason we're in the situation we're in! And Democrats are the ones who pressured Fannie and Freddie to give these loans!
If we go back to the failed Entitlement
Policies of the Democrats....we will only create More Problems for ourselves.
Wake up! Open your Eyes!
Another Democratic big idea: ObamaCare!
Yeah, we'll cover 30 MILLION MORE PEOPLE, and reduce your healthcare costs! does this one sound like a good idea to you TOO ???
I think Obama better go back to school and take some general math courses because he certainly can't add or divide!

I think Americans should make their own decisions and stop relying on screwball politicians to make all their decisions for them. What does any politician know about every one of us? How can they really know what each and everyone needs without even laying eyes on them? No, I don't trust politicians to tell me how to live my life. Unless I kill or maim someone, leave me the hell alone!
